REEVALUATE Work Packages

In Work Package 1 (WP1), the primary objective is to conduct a comprehensive review of the current state of digitization of Cultural Heritage in Europe. The team aims to extract, analyse, and understand the benefits, opportunities, risks, and gaps in digitization efforts in Europe. Through this process, a detailed list of user requirements and needs, along with usage scenarios specific to the REEVALUATE framework, will be compiled. Additionally, the team will generate mock-ups and the final architecture for the REEVALUATE framework based on the findings of the prementioned tasks. Overall, WP1 serves as the foundational stage, laying the groundwork for subsequent phases by providing insights into the existing landscape and informing the development of REEVALUATE to effectively address the identified needs and challenges in cultural heritage digitization.

In Work Package 2 (WP2) the objectives are to identify and digitise the artefacts for use during the pilot phase, produce enablers for public sensing and prioritization of artefacts, and support contextualization through AI techniques and a user-friendly platform.

Work Package 3 (WP3) aims to enable the search and retrieval of artefacts, recommend potential collaborations and creative reuses, facilitate quick visualizations of creative reuse ideas, and validate the appropriateness of artefact contexts. It also involves designing a secure repository for storing digital assets and implementing a method for safe and secure IPR management.

Work Package 4 (WP4) is dedicated to compilation of the validation strategy and the implementation of the pilot projects. An integrated platform with enablers and a digitized cultural asset marketplace will be developed as well as prototypes of applications and creative productions. The pilot cases will be executed based on the planned strategy, and the results will be evaluated to assess the effectiveness of the framework.

Work Package 5 (WP5) focuses on designing a strategy for disseminating, communicating, and exploiting project outcomes to ensure widespread awareness. It also involves building innovative business models for the broader exploitation of the REEVALUATE framework and contributing to the development of evidence-based recommendations for managing and using digitized cultural heritage effectively. Establishing synergies with relevant projects and funded initiatives is also a key objective to achieve wider impact.

Work Package 6 (WP6) is dedicated to organizational and personnel resource management, ethics and gender aspects, ensuring effective communication between project participants and the EC, and delivering all technical objectives. It aims to establish an efficient quality management infrastructure, fulfil contractual obligations, and ensure consistency between the Work Plan and financial guidelines.
