REEVALUATE held its 3rd Plenary Meeting!

3rd Plenary Meeting Held at MoMu – Fashion Museum Antwerp

On December 11–12, 2024, the REEVALUATE consortium gathered for its 3rd Plenary Meeting at the iconic MoMu – Fashion Museum Antwerp, bringing together partners from across Europe to assess progress and plan the next stages of the project. The meeting was a significant milestone in the REEVALUATE journey, marking 12 months of collaborative work toward a safer, more open, and inclusive future for the digitisation of Cultural Heritage.

Hosted in the vibrant cultural heart of Antwerp, the two-day meeting brought together representatives from the 16 partner organisations, offering a platform to evaluate achievements across work packages, align on upcoming objectives, and exchange insights on key themes of the project—ranging from semantic data management and stakeholder engagement, to IPR management, AI-powered creative reuse, and cross-sectoral collaboration.

Highlights
Day 1 began with updates on project management (WP6) and in-depth reviews of the current status of cultural heritage digitisation (WP1), followed by presentations on semantic enablers (WP2) and collaboration/IPR tools (WP3). Each task leader provided insights into objectives, methodologies, results achieved so far, and plans for the next six months.

A cross-WP discussion focused on the interconnection of various technical enablers to ensure seamless integration within the REEVALUATE framework.

The day concluded with valuable feedback from the External Advisory Board and a guided tour of MoMu’s “Masquerade, Make-up & Ensor” exhibition, followed by a networking dinner at the museum café.

Day 2 focused on piloting and validating the REEVALUATE framework (WP4), communication and exploitation strategies (WP5), and a final round of cross-WP discussions. The session closed with a collective look ahead at the work and deliverables for the upcoming months.

Building the Future of Cultural Heritage Digitisation
This plenary reinforced the consortium’s commitment to tackling challenges faced by GLAMs (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums) in the digital age. From public sensing for prioritisation to DLT-based asset tokenisation, and from AI-driven contextualisation to user-centric mock-ups, the REEVALUATE project continues to push forward a holistic framework designed to ensure long-term accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability of cultural heritage assets across Europe.

A special thanks to MoMu – Fashion Museum Antwerp for hosting us in such an inspiring setting, and to all partners for their dedication and expertise across the fields of fashion, gaming, tourism, academia, and heritage management.

Stay tuned as we continue to develop tools and methods that empower institutions and citizens alike to engage with digital cultural heritage in meaningful, ethical, and innovative ways.
