REEVALUATE’s 4th Plenary Meeting in Madrid: From Progress to Pilots

Madrid, 27–28 May 2025

The REEVALUATE consortium came together for its 4th face-to-face plenary meeting, hosted by GVAM at the CEIM – CEOE offices in central Madrid. With representatives from all partners attending, the two-day gathering provided a valuable opportunity to review progress, discuss integration challenges, and align priorities as the project enters a crucial phase.

The sessions covered a wide range of updates across the project’s technical, management, and dissemination activities. Partners reflected on developments to date and shared insights on how REEVALUATE’s tools and solutions — including AI-driven contextualisation, public sensing, creative reuse, and IPR management — are evolving and converging into a coherent framework.

Focus on Pilots and Real-World Implementation

A key focus of the meeting was the discussion around pilot cases, which will serve as the testing ground for REEVALUATE’s innovations. These pilots are designed to demonstrate how the project’s technologies can support inclusive, open, and sustainable digitisation and reuse of cultural heritage.

The consortium held constructive and strategic discussions on how to best implement the technologies in the pilots, ensuring their integration is both technically sound and aligned with real user needs. The conversation touched on practical considerations such as platform readiness, content workflows, and stakeholder engagement.

Preparing for the Next Steps

In addition to the technical sessions, partners coordinated timelines for deliverables and agreed on next steps for communication and outreach. Cross-work package discussions ensured that integration points are clear and that synergies between the project’s components are fully leveraged.

A cultural visit and networking dinner provided space for informal exchange, reinforcing the sense of shared purpose and collaboration that drives REEVALUATE forward.

Looking Ahead

The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of direction and enthusiasm as the project moves from development into real-world validation. With pilot implementation on the horizon, REEVALUATE is well-positioned to demonstrate how digital technologies can unlock new value in cultural heritage across Europe.

Many thanks to all partners for their engagement and contributions — and to our hosts in Madrid for their warm hospitality!
